Our Story

Sanda Time was born long before it became a company.
It began in a small coastal village near Marmaris, where a captain’s son grew up chasing waves instead of streets, tying lines instead of shoelaces, and learning that the sea has its own language – one of wind, light and patience.

In those early years, the family livelihood was simple: small wooden boats, short coastal trips, and guests who stepped on board as strangers and left as lifelong friends. There were no brand names yet, no global plans – just a belief that if you respect the sea and take care of people, the rest will follow.

By 1994, that belief had a name: Sanda.
What started as a gulet operation in Marmaris slowly grew into a trusted address for blue cruises along the Turkish Riviera. Season after season, the coastline became our classroom: Marmaris, Fethiye, Göcek, Bodrum, Bozburun, Kekova, Gökova… Every bay taught us something – how to time an anchorage with the sunset, how to design cabins that actually feel like a retreat, how to build crews that feel like a family, not a rotation.

As our guests returned year after year, their questions changed.
“Do you also have motor yachts?”
“Can we sail with just our family?”
“Is there a way for students to join these cruises?”
“Where can we find honest reviews?”

Instead of answering with brochures, we answered with brands.

  • Sanda Yachting became the heart of the fleet – operator of our six gulets and the main yacht management company.

  • Private Charter Turkey was created for those who wanted the full luxury gulet experience, privately curated from the first email to the last goodbye on the pier.

  • Motor Yacht Turkey focused purely on motor yachts for guests who measure time not in days, but in knots.

  • Bareboat Turkey opened the door to skippers and sailors who wanted monohulls and catamarans – with or without a captain.

  • Kampüs Gulet gave 18–35 year-old students the chance to meet the blue cruise long before corporate life and deadlines.

Today, Sanda Time is the group that holds all of these worlds together – a Marmaris-based maritime ecosystem built on one simple motto: “sea la vie!”
For us, it’s more than a tagline. It’s a reminder that life, like the sea, is never truly still. Tides change. Routes evolve. But some things stay constant: solid seamanship, honest hospitality, and the quiet magic of waking up at anchor in a quiet bay.

We design, operate and curate yachting experiences along the Turkish Riviera – from private gulet charters and motor yacht cruises to sailing holidays, cabin trips, yoga voyages and yacht brokerage.

  • Ship Agency Licences – Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Directorate General of Maritime Affairs
    We are officially authorised as a ship agency under Turkish maritime law.

    • Main office ship agency licence no. 1293, issued to Sanda Turizm Ticaret İth. İhr. Ltd. Şti. at Tepe Mah. 41. Sok. No:1, Marmaris / Muğla, on 08.06.2021, valid until 08.06.2026.

    • Fethiye branch ship agency licence no. 1293-001, issued on 26.04.2022 for our branch at Karagözler Mah. Fevzi Çakmak Cad. No:31/A, Fethiye / Muğla, valid until 26.04.2027.

  • A-Group Travel Agency Operating Licence – Ministry of Culture and Tourism
    Our tourism activities are licensed as an A Group travel agency, enabling us to organise and sell complete travel packages:

  • TÜRSAB – Association of Turkish Travel Agencies
    Our agency is a registered member of TÜRSAB, Turkey’s national association for travel agencies.

    • Membership is held under Simerenya Turizm, which fulfilled the requirements of Law No. 1618 and related regulations.

    • The agency’s membership was recorded on 08.01.2016 and confirmed by TÜRSAB with an official membership certificate.

  • TYBA – Turkish Yachting & Brokers Association
    In the yachting and brokerage field, we are represented by Sanda Yatçılık / Idris Uçar, who is an early member of TYBA, the Turkish Yachting & Brokers Association.

    • Membership was granted on 15.05.2017, with Sanda Yatçılık registered as member no. 12 of the association.

    • This membership supports our commitment to professional standards in yacht charter, brokerage and yacht management.
